The Young Ones Art Project was formed in 2005 March by Sifiso "Kitsona" Khumalo in Clermont, Sub 5. The project involves youth from the ages of 8 upwards
The project was formed with the aim to get the youth of Clermont, Sub 5 involved in the arts and social life skills and also to get the youth involved in positive engagement within the community.
The project deals primarily with contemporary dance, and other forms of dance such as pantsula {local dance or township dance}, gumboot dance and traditional dance.
The project has performed in the following productions:
Flatfoot Dance Company’s youth concerts which are held every year (Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre)
Imbumba by KZN DanceLink (Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre) 2010, 2009
Giyani Lusha (north beach amphitheatre) 2010, 2009 and 2008
Ukukhula Komdanso 2008
Jomba Youth Fringe: 2010, 2009, 2008 and 2007
